One of the questions that I hear all of the time as a candy manufacturer is "how are jelly beans made?" This is a very important question and one that has a solid place in history.
All jelly beans are made up of a few basic ingredients. These ingredients include sugar, starch and corn syrup. These are the bases with which the jelly beans are made, there are of course other things used to flavor and color the beans but the above are the main body of the jelly beans. http://www.youreaster.com/jellybeans/howarejellybeansmade/
For the most part jelly beans are flavored by fruit juices, artificial flavoring, fruit pectin or powders. The flavors will generally match with the color of the beans and the colors are created with dyes.
Some of the jelly beans that are manufactured for today's market contain no fat and next to no calories. These will have some ingredient switched out for this kind of result. They are made the same but with a few different ingredients.
The first step to making jelly beans is coming up with the flavors. If a candy manufacturer wants to try something new they need to get the flavors developed and test marketed. This is a fairly straight forward process that ensures that the jelly beans will sell once they are made and packaged.
When it comes to making the center of the jelly bean the kitchen of the factory will make a candy syrup that will harden somewhat into the chewy jelly center. The syrup is created over large boilers and as the ingredients are mixed together they will melt and mix to perfection. Once this mixture is the right consistency the flavors and the coloring, if there is any, will be added to it.
The next step in the jelly bean manufacturing process is called starch casting. This is a fascinating process in which little impressions are pressed into corn starch. Once the jelly bean shaped impressions have been made they are filled with the jelly center mixture. They are then moved along a conveyor to the panning station. This is the place where the jelly beans will begin to get their coloring and outer shell.
The outer candy shell of jelly beans are built up gradually. There is more than one candy layer on the outside of a jelly bean. Once the colored coatings are in place it is time for the jelly beans to be packaged, and at that point we are at the end of the jelly bean manufacturing trail.

Camping Furniture You Should Have For Your Next Camping Trip
by: Gray Rollins
Camping conjures up images of campfires, tents, sleeping bags and generally roughing it. However, now there are so many pieces of furniture available for use in camping, you can deck out your campsite to look almost as good as your home. There are lounge chairs available, ottomans, tables and lamps to recreate a living area around a campfire. Portable kitchen areas will provide preparation areas and grills for a versatile dining experience. Your tent no longer has to consist of a sleeping bag on the hard ground but can include beds, tables and lamps.
Keep in mind that larger pieces of furniture are difficult to transport and may be heavy or bulky so these items are best used in stationary camp sites. If you will be wandering off to camp at a site where you will have to carry your equipment long distances, these items may not be ideal. However, if you have a campsite...

How To Buy Designer Bags With Confidence
by: Kelly Gillis
It can be difficult buying a designer bag these day. With the proliferation of on line sites selling fakes as authentic and unscrupulous salespeople. With all the designer knock-offs being called "authentic" it's easy to be misguided into spending way too much money for a fake without knowing it.
There is a difference between buying a designer knock-off and knowing it and being told you're buying the actual bag when it's not.
When you see that Chloe python Silverado bag on i offer you are told it is 7 star quality and mirror image up front, that's honest salesmanship. I don't see a problem with knowingly buying a designer knock off. However, watch these knock-offs too. There are many different qualities. Some will sell an inferior quality knock-off bag for much more than it's worth. I saw a seller on i offer who offered the same exact bag for two very different prices. When I questioned...

by: Dakota Caudilla
Even a Coffee Bean or San Francisco Coffee outlet frequenter won?t be able to master the art of appreciating true gourmet coffee unless they know the history and info about gourmet coffee. Oh, of course, you don?t have to an EXPERT to enjoy and understand gourmet coffee, but knowing a little bit more than the grocery store owner who sells instant coffee would help you appreciate the taste, smell and absolute heaven that gourmet coffee fans know gourmet coffee is absolutely capable of.
Gourmet coffee is nothing like wine. With wine, the longer you leave (some wine, anyway), the better the taste, the higher the quality and the pricier it is.
